Bi fold doors, featuring tumbled porcelain floor

Our Pierre Tumbled beige 600x600, was selected in two finishes natural R10 for internal application and R11 for the external. On this particular project the external tiling only required the 10mm thickness as the client was pouring a concrete slab, had the client have needed to raise the floor to door level or wanted to install in a similar fashion as flagstone paving with Mot type1, sand morter mix we would have used our 20mm thickness from the same range. If you have a solid external slab there is absolutely no issue using 10mm porcelain, did you know all car showrooms in the UK have 10mm porcelain fixed? will you be putting anything heaver than a car on your patio?

The yellow matting you can see under the tiles is an antifracture matting, it allows for natural lateral movement that occurs underneath the tiles and is recommended to essentially make your floor bomb proof, Screeds naturally move over the first year or two and this matting will avoid any issues keeping your floor looking as beautiful as the day it was installed. How is the matting installed? the tiler will fix the matting to the screed using the same adhesive we use to fix your tiles, they apply a 3mm trowel of adhesive over your substrate and then roll and press out the matting to bond it to the floor. Usually the next day fitting of your tiles begins, its also great to use these types of matting in your bathrooms as they also act as a wet proofing barrier, they also allow you to fix your tiles onto wooden substrates as most properties in the UK have wooden floors on the second floor, as long as there is no bounce in your floor this matting will allow for the natural lateral movement of the wood and ensure no cracks occur in your tiles as the substrate moves over time.

The bathroom features a combination of zellige effect ceramic wall tiles in a pink tonal colour, a great way to add depth and variation to the bathroom, complimented with a terrazzo inspired porcelain floor tile for a venetian inspired bathroom.
