What Makes Outdoor & Porcelain Paving Tiles, So Great For Your Outdoor Spaces?

With Summer upon us and an everlasting heatwave, UK homeowners are renovating garden spaces using outdoor tiles also known as porcelain paving. These 20mm thick porcelain tiles are incredibly hard wearing and ideal for patios and outdoor spaces. We offer matching internal floor tiles and recently launched our most popular range featuring our mono calibre range Manhattan Concrete.

What is monocaliber? Monocaliber is when a range of tiles offers exactly the same size in other thicknesses or sizes allowing for matching grout joints. This range features a 20mm outdoor R11 900x900 porcelain floor tile with a matching 900x900 10mm Matt R10 PTV36+ floor tile for indoor spaces. Its PTV36+ Rating makes the indoor tile perfect for low slip potential when coming into the home from outdoor areas through bi fold or patio doors, whilst combining its smooth finish for easy cleaning on internal applications.

What makes porcelain tiles ideal for outdoor floor tiles? Porcelain is extremely hard wearing, Low maintanance and easy to clean, its also frost proof making it ideal for the UK's varying weather conditions and its UV resistant meaning it wont bleach over time or need treating or ongoing care, Not to mention its resistance to wear and tear is extremely high, you'll need a diamond to scratch the surface as its harder than granite.

Did you know? Not all porcelain tiles are created equal, ask your supplier for the strength of the the glaze, this is the PEI rating and refers to the tiles resistance to scratches and abrasion, some other well known suppliers source cheaper materials with poor quality, find out more about PEI ratings here
