Range Designed by MUT
The Mediterranean is synonymous with sun and light, freshness and colour, merging expanses of sea and sky, and twilight evenings spent on terraces or chilling out under the branches of an olive tree. The Mediterranean is simplicity, peacefulness and calm. This Rnage owes its design to the rich cultural melting pot of all the different civilizations that settled on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. A collection created by MUT Design Studio, it is inspired by typical Mediterranean buildings and their roofs. With an appearance reminiscent of a traditional roof tile now transformed into a modern wall tile. It comes in a 15x45 format in a selection of different finishes. The matt Clay finish emulates the colour of traditional terracotta tiles, in contrast with the collection's other glossy colours typical of Mediterranean pottery, like White, Azure, Silver, Bordeaux and Teal. The colours can be inter-combined in different ways, either on big surfaces or else to add a complementary decorative touch. A collection presented at the 2020 edition of IMM in Cologne as part of the Das Haus design project, which MUT Design Studio created under the title “A la fresca” ("In the Fresh Air").
